Moms Run Club 10k

As a runner, I have completed two 10K-training programs under Kjersti's guidance and each time I improved my per mile speed, strength, and stamina, without any injuries or set-backs.  She is an inspiring and competent coach that provides holistic training with tips ranging from nutrition to biomechanics to self-talk.

As a mother participating in her Mom's Run Club, I benefited from her therapeutic guidance regarding positive discipline, family dynamics, and self-care.  The discussions with Kjersti and other moms before, during, and after our runs provided a support group and outlet for concerns ranging from minor parenting challenges to major life events. Kjersti treated each participant as an individual and established respectful guidelines for the group from the beginning. 

Her ability to inspire and guide us all to a healthier and happier place is truly a gift you give to yourself and your family.

On-line Training 1/2 marathon

Kjersti is such an amazing coach! She doesn’t just send you a schedule and wish you luck. She really discussed my goals, my experience and my concerns. She sent me weekly emails regarding my runs, injury prevention as well as mental wellness. She is very knowledgeable in all three of those areas. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I also wish I lived closer so I could do in person runs. This being said I got more than I could’ve imagined out of the online training.

Individual Coaching 1/2 marathon

Group Training Plan

Kjersti turned me from someone who could barely run a mile without stopping multiple times into someone who has completed 5 half marathons, and many other 5Ks! She created a personalized training plan that built up my distance and speed gradually, which was easy to follow. She gave the support and advice needed by a beginner to stay with it and to avoid injury. Having done the San Jose, Austin, and San Francisco half marathons (some multiple times), I feel much more confident as a runner. Before Kjersti transformed me you would not even remotely associate the term “runner” with me. 

Kjersti also organized a group training plan for me and my colleagues at a startup to run the San Jose Half Marathon. There was a wide variety of abilities amongst us, with some who had never run at all before, and she was able to create a plan for each of us that made us feel like we were working on it together. It was a fantastic team-building event, and we all felt so accomplished when every one of us crossed that finish line. 

If you are a beginner who wants a no-nonsense training plan and the help you need to get through it, Kjersti is the one for you! And if you need a great team-building group activity, I highly recommend working with Kjersti to pick out a race and get everyone trained to run it!

Individual Coaching 5k

I first met Kjersti when I was a new mom working my way through the Couch to 5K program. Desperate to shed baby weight and not realizing how challenging navigating life with a new baby was, Kjersti was transformative in helping me learn new life skills. Her extensive background in childhood development makes her a go-to authority for all things kid related, yet her style was always approachable and helpful. Her encouraging and optimistic coaching along with her sunny disposition really makes you feel like you can do anything. Six years and three kids later I still find myself daily using the many tools and strategies I learned while working with Kjersti.
